RETURN TO CARE & UPDATED PRACTICE PROCEDURES
We hope that you and your loved ones fit and well in these exceedingly difficult times. As we are sure you are aware from the press and media, we have been unable to provide routine dental treatment for several months due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
During this time, Mark has been at the end of the phone to provide advice and support & referral to the NHS UDC Hubs as required. We have spoken with many of you and thank you for your kind words and encouragement in what has been a particularly difficult time for the dental profession.
At Broadway Dental Care the most important thing is patient safety and comfort, we have been working on planning for a safe return to caring for you and would like to let you know that we have introduced the following measures to keep everyone safe while at the practice for urgent care appointments and as we return to routine care. We apologise in advance for the necessary reduction in social interaction that this will necessitate and if new digital procedures are difficult for you we are here to help. Whilst our PPE may make us appear impersonal and distant, please be assured we are still the same friendly team underneath it all!
We will be booking your appointment to ensure reception and the waiting areas are not overcrowded. We will do this by leaving suitable gaps between appointments, making sure that you can attend the practice while maintaining a suitable distance from one another in accordance with government guidelines.
We will also be creating appointments for patients who are most vulnerable minimising contact with others for this group while they are at the practice.
Cross infection control has been reviewed and enhanced.
Different treatments may need to be booked in at specific times of the day depending on their nature with longer gaps between appointment to clean the surgery
To avoid overcrowding when you arrive at the practice, we ask that you attend alone and wait in your car where possible or in the entrance area outside of the practice until called in. we can notify you via your phone when you should enter the practice or come down to meet you.
You will be asked to sanitise your hands on arrival.
We have adopted an online system to allow for contactless administration. You will be able to fill in all the relevant forms digitally before you enter the practice. This crucial step greatly reduces touch points at the practice.
Between all appointments the dental team will thoroughly disinfect the dental surgery, reducing the risk of patient exposure to anything harmful while they are in the chair.
As you leave the practice, we will ask that you pay by card or bank transfer where possible.
If you have any concerns please contact us on 01386 853800 or 07419 123507.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the practice
