About Us

Mark Howe

Mark qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1988. After 4 years in general practice he joined the Royal Air Force Dental Branch on a Short Service Commission. He served both in the UK and overseas and gained experience in oral surgery and advanced dental treatments. Additionally he gained his Diploma and Membership exams in general dental surgery. On leaving the RAF Mark completed his Fellowship to the Faculty of General Dental Practice (FFGDP). Mark has practised at Broadway Dental Care since 1998 having purchasing this long established practice and settling locally with his wife Clare and their three children. To keep up-to-date he attends many conferences both in the UK and abroad. Mark provides a referral service for other dentists and is a Research Committee member for the College of Dentistry England and examiner for the Royal College of surgeons Edinburgh. Mark was an Honorary Associate of the University of Liverpool from 2015-2018. He was awarded the In Practice Research Award from the British Society of Prosthodontics BSPPD in 2016 and commenced further postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford in September 2016. He was awarded an MSc in Evidence Based Healthcare from the University of Oxford in 2019. Mark is now working towards his PhD at the University of Plymouth Peninsular Dental School.

Mark & his wife Clare have 3 grown up children. Outside of work where possible Mark enjoys adventure sports & the great outdoors.

Clare Howe

Clare is Mark’s wife and as the practice manager is responsible for compliance and the day to day running of the practice, having qualified as a dental nurse she provides additional support when staff are away from the practice. Since 2014 she has been a member of the General Dental Council’s fitness to Practise Panel. Clare enjoys socialising with friends as well as pilates and occasional visits to the gym.

Lucy Brown

Lucy has been a member of our team since 2002. Having worked with us for many years she knows our patients’ needs and with her wealth of experience as a dental nurse she cares for our patients in a caring and profession way and with a great sense of humour. Lucy has 2 young children who keep her busy outside work.

Irina Middlebrook

Irina qualified as a dental nurse in 2012 and worked at 2 practices in Leicestershire before moving to Worcestershire and joining us in July 2018. She brings a caring, relaxed and supportive approach to the practice. In her spare time she enjoys walking and exploring the area.
